.NAME Domain Names

Launched in 2001, the .NAME universal domain extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other labels people are popular by. Initially, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to secure john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased third-level names remained running.

Through our firm, you can secure your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been finished. There are no specific restrictions on who can get a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the concept behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME gTLD is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the precise spelling in your local language.
