A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from partners or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of features, but it’s remarkably easy to work with, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only a mouse click. All the email addresses that you have set up will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you will just have to click on the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the particular email address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and takes yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled without any effort in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domains hosted in the account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll find a mini icon handily located directly next to each of them. With only a click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option through the contextual menu that will pop up. If any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will inform you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
